Welcome back!

Today's class has two objectives:

  • To understand how to form and use the simple past of regular and irregular verbs.

  • To practice the pronunciation of -ed endings in simple past of regular verbs.

(Please, review last class's video about -ed ending pronunciation.)

Let's begin by reviewing how to form the simple past of regular verbs. Check out the following video.

Now, complete the following worksheet about Past Simple of regular verbs.

... and a worksheet about Past Simple or irregular verbs.

Read and listen to the following conversation. Then practice with a partner.

As you may remember, in previous class you completed some conversations. Please, go back there and practice with a partner. Answer the questions with your own information. (Switch roles.)

  • Did you stay home on Saturday?

  • How did you spend your last birthday?

  • What did you do last night?

  • Did you do anything special over the weekend?

  • Did you go out on Friday night?

Now, please write your daily routine on a Saturday. Check the following images to get some ideas.

Based on your daily routine on Saturday, what did you do last Saturday?
