So far we have talked about past experiences, particularly about last vacation, last week, last weekend. The proposal now is to talk about a specific and very important part of our life experiences: childhood.

Most of us have a lot of childhood memories. Some can be nice and happy, and some others can be bad and sad. It is a very common conversation topic. So it is important to learn to talk about in an appropriate way.

The goals of today's class are the following:

  • To learn and use some vocabulary related to childhood memories.

  • To practice talking and writing about our childhood.

  • To learn and practice talking about past habits.

So, in order to start working and knowing new vocabulary, please, complete the activities on the first page of the following worksheet.

Before continuing with the rest of the worksheet, let's talk about past habits. You know, when you were a child you used to do many things that now you don't do anymore. In this case we are talking about past habits. And, when talking about past habits, there is an expression you need to learn to use. This expression is "used to."

So let's look at a short video about the use of the expression "used to."

You are ready now to complete some activities about the use of "used to."

And finally, complete the rest of the childhood memories worksheet.
